- Managing Gen Y
Yes - they can be managed! Many Baby Boomers and Generation X find managing Generation Y very challenging, believing them to be outspoken, disloyal and a rule unto themselves. This generation often have different expectations and approaches to work. They are educated, creative, sociable and crave stimulation. This ½ day session aims to assist participants to better understand some of the unique qualities of Generation Y. Through understanding and practical techniques you will be able to easily harness the talents of these individuals and utilise this to your benefit in the workplace.
- Managing Across Generations
For the first time ever we now have four very different generations in the workplace. Although all individuals are unique, there are certain common differences between generational groups, which can potentiate conflict and misunderstanding. This half day course will assist participants to understand each generation to assist with enhancing working relationships. In particular characteristics of the younger generation, known as Gen Y, will be explored. Although critical for businesses to retain Gen Y’s as for the future, these individuals may pose the most difficulty for managers today who are typically Generation X and Baby Boomers
- Dealing With Diversity
Diversity gives organisations the winning edge! It can enrich and build potential through the sharing of different perceptions, perspectives and ideas. Without understanding the value of diversity, many organisations fail to capitalise on this important asset. Without appreciating this, instead the differences may lead to conflict and organisational risk in terms of legislative breaches. This ½ day session assists employees to better understand the benefits of diversity and provides strategies to promote inclusive and positive workplace relationships.
